LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of Ashley Lauren Markart, 31, of Lexington Park, MD, for escape.
Markart had been on home detention for weapons charges, and on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, she removed her court-ordered GPS monitoring device and fled the area.
Markart is a black female, 5’ 4” tall, weighing 135 pounds.

Actually, I think the convict pays for the equipment. But you are most correct, they do not work. Someone should not be on home detention for weapon charges of all things. If she is not in the Park, look for her in either District or Capital Heights.
Weapons charge and home detention? Hope they understand the ACCUSED needs to be locked up now. She was given home detention and proved she can’t be trusted.
