NAVSUP WSSโs Director of Command Operations nominated the group for the award.
Cited in the nomination was the teamโs โexceptionalโ execution of the H-60 PBL strategy, noting that it improved material availability from 69 percent to moreย than 95 percent and negotiated a 4 percent reduction in forecasted demands, among other achievements that brought greater levels of H-60 combat readiness at a significant value to naval aviation and the Department of Defense.
Because it was able to achieve unprecedented levels of readiness, the H-60 contractโs success resulted in five additional years of support through the Seahawk 2015 PBL. The teamโs efforts are being recognized as the benchmark for future PBL strategies.
โThis win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the NAVAIR/NAVSUP WSS PBL team who skillfully researched, assembled and presented a comprehensive five-year performance based sustainment contract that was dedicated to providing speed to the fleet and value to the Naval Aviation Enterprise,โ said Judy Poole, NAVSUP WSS H-60 PBL coordinator.
