DUNKIRK, Md. – MAEVE Northern Calvert recently organized a park cleanup for its members at Dunkirk District Park, providing a fun opportunity for members and their families to volunteer and make a positive impact in the community.
MAEVE Northern Calvert is the local chapter of MAEVE (Motherhood Alliance Equity Village Empowerment) a non-profit service organization that offers a “village” for local mothers. The group organizes events, activities and support for its members and their families and participates in service projects and charitable giving to support the community.
This was MAEVE Northern Calvert’s second park clean-up as part of its participation in the Calvert County Parks & Recreation Adopt-a-Park program, and is one of several service projects the group engages in throughout the year.
