MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A 30-year-old man was flown to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries early Sunday after he was stabbed in Mechanicsville.

Emergency crews were called shortly after 12:20 a.m. Nov. 16, 2025 to a residence on Harpers Corner Road near Yorkshire Lane, where they found the victim with a stab wound to the chest. EMS requested a MEDEVAC due to the severity of his injuries.

Firefighters established a landing zone at Real Life Church on Old Village Road, allowing Maryland State Police helicopter Trooper 7 to transport the man to a regional trauma center.

As of Sunday afternoon, authorities had not released any suspect information.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
