On Dec. 26 at 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the 6200 block of Brandywine Road in Hughesville for an assault in which a knife was used.
Investigation revealed the victim – a 49-year-old man – and suspect, Ray Williams Dempsey, 34 of Eagle Harbor, were arguing when Dempsey pulled a knife and threatened the victim.
Dempsey fled but was later arrested and charged with first-degree assault. Officer L. Sershen is investigating.
