Man who chased, attacked victim with knife charged with assault

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – On August 8, 2018, Dep. Forbes responded to the 45000 block of Carefree Way in Great Mills, for the reported assault. 

Investigation determined  Robert Combs Russell 3rd, age 23 of Lexington Park,  began to argue with the victim.  During the argument, Russell chased the victim with a knife, threw the knife at the victim, and chased the victim to a separate residence when the victim ran for help. 

Russell then forced his way into that residence while chasing the victim, and proceeded to assault two occupants of the residence who attempted to stop him from harming the victim. 

Russell was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, and  Assault 1st and 2nd Degree.  CASE# 47575-18
