Richard Lee Marquardt
Charlotte Hall, MD— On Feb.23, St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Cpl.J.L. Somerville responded to Charlotte Hall Road in Charlotte Hall for the of a report of a verbal altercation.
When Somerville arrived on the scene contact was made with the victim and the defendant–identified as Richard Lee Marquardt, 24, of Mechanicsville.
According to charging documents, “Marquardt and the victim were involved in a verbal argument and he threatened to burn down the victim’s parents residence.”
Marquardt stated, “I will burn down your parents home,” according to charging documents.
Marquardt was charged with arson/threat and at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Marquardt faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and/or a maximum fine of $10,000.
