LEONARDTOWN, Md. — An assault on high school grounds has landed an 18-year-old Maryland teen in legal trouble, authorities reported. Josiah James Thomas Sobola, of California, Maryland, is accused of attacking individuals at Leonardtown High School, ultimately injuring four victims, according to police.

The incident, which occurred on campus and was captured on surveillance video, prompted police action and a summons for upcoming court proceedings. Video surveillance footage allegedly shows Sobola waiting in the area prior to the attacks.

According to police reports, the assaults occurred on Feb. 26, 2026, at Leonardtown High School.

Authorities state that Sobola allegedly assaulted four people on campus.
