LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Residents are invited to come together for a day of giving and community connection at the “Spring Into Action” Community Food Drive set for Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The event, hosted by MedStar Health, MedSTAR Transport and MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, will begin at 10 a.m. and run for approximately two hours at Leonardtown High School, located at 23995 Point Lookout Road.
Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food donations to support the Healthy Food Pantry at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital and Feed St. Mary’s, both of which assist individuals and families facing food insecurity across the region.
In addition to donating, visitors will have the opportunity to meet members of the MedSTAR Transport team and get an up-close look at emergency response equipment, including a MedSTAR helicopter and ambulance.
The event aims to highlight the connection between emergency medical services and community support, while providing a hands-on experience for families and residents.
Community members of all ages are welcome to attend.
