MILLERSVILLE, Md. — Authorities in Anne Arundel County have arrested a Millersville man on multiple charges, including second-degree rape and child abuse, following an investigation by local law enforcement.

Marcus K. Trotman was taken into custody without incident at his home on Brightview Road on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, after the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit contacted the sheriff’s Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT 2) for assistance in executing an arrest warrant.

Trotman, who was wanted on several charges, faces two counts each of second-degree rape, third-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault, and child abuse by a household member.

Following his arrest, Trotman was transported to the Jennifer Road Central Booking Facility, where he was processed and appeared before a District Court commissioner. He is currently being held without bond.

The Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it remains committed to tracking down fugitives and ensuring public safety through investigative efforts and cooperation with other agencies.
