Minor William Jennings Buckler, 76, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Minor was born on December 7, 1948, and was the son of the late William Jennings and Eleanora Buckler. He married his beloved wife, Melva Rita Buckler (Wood), on June 2, 1968, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Minorโ€™s devotion to his wife and his faith could not be measured. During their 57 years of marriage, they were blessed with their three sons: Minor (Dwayne), Dale (DJ), and Dennis, and a special daughter, Margaret (Monkey) Buckler-Ford.

Minor proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. He was stationed in Germany and served during the Vietnam War. Minor was a well sought after electrician for 60 years and his incredible wealth of knowledge led him to start his own company, Minor Buckler Electric, in 1992. From installations to estimations of jobs, you would always be greeted with a โ€œTop of the Morning!โ€ Minorโ€™s sons worked along his side for many years and now all have followed in his footsteps and have their own electrical companies. Minor loved playing cards, eating dinner at Sandgates Inn, and traveling with friends and family. Minor and Rita were known to take spontaneous trips, which turned into the best of stories of all. Minorโ€™s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and on the hill with his Buckler Family. While the memories were priceless and will be cherished, the time was way too short.
Minor is preceded in death by his parents, William Jennings and Eleanora Buckler, along with his siblings, William (Sonny) Buckler, Joseph (Joe) Buckler, and Brenda Tucker.

Minor is survived by his wife, Melva Rita Buckler (Wood); children, Minor (Dwayne) Buckler (Laura), Dale (DJ) Buckler (Wendy), Dennis Buckler (Jenny), and Margaret (Monkey) Buckler-Ford; grandchildren, Courtney Brady (Paul Jr.), Hayden Buckler (Karly), Anna Buckler, Colton Buckler, Camdyn Buckler, and Cohen Buckler; great grandchildren, RaeLynn Buckler, WillaDean Brady, and Riggins Buckler, and siblings; Loretta Alvey, Betty Weddle, Ronald Buckler (Pearl), James (Jimmy) Buckler (Eleanor), Laffayette (Laffy) Buckler, David Buckler (Sissie), Wayne Buckler (Tammy), Glenn Buckler (Karen), Mark Buckler (Wanda), Myron Buckler, Shelia Buckler, Kevin Buckler (Jackie) and Deborah (Debbie) Johnson (Mitch).
