LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – St. Mary’s County Fire & EMS units responded this morning to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Buck Hewitt Road in the Lexington Park area.
The incident was dispatched at approximately 10:03 a.m. on Apr. 4, for a two‑vehicle crash with non-life-threatening injuries. Police units along with EMS were alerted and responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed a two‑vehicle collision with multiple patients. Fire and Rescue personnel initiated stabilization while EMS providers began triage and treatment. An additional ambulance was in route as a third patient requested to be transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, Md.
The scene was managed under a unified command with support from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
