Motorcyclist Flown Out After Vehicle Collision In Mechanicsville

UPDATE – 12/15/2025 – Police Continue Investigation Into Saturday Motorcycle Collision In Mechanicsville

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – At approximately 4:51 p.m., emergency services in St. Mary’s County responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on December 13, 2025, at 28035 Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville, in front of the DJS One Stop.

Responding units included Squad 2, Engine 22, Engine Tanker 224, Brush 2, and multiple EMS crews. Upon arrival, responders found one patient in critical condition, prompting immediate request for a medical evacuation helicopter (MEDEVAC).

A landing zone was established at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department parking lot, with Trooper 7 scheduled to arrive within 15 minutes. Engine 22 assumed command of the scene, while Squad 2 managed rescue operations.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office announced that the southbound lane of Three Notch Road will remain closed for an extended period while crews operate on scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use Old Village Road as an alternate route.
