CALVERT COUNTY, MD – Officials have reported multiple road closures across Calvert County due to downed trees and power lines, causing significant travel disruptions.
As of Sunday evening, February 16, 2025, the following roads remain impacted:
- Hardesty Road & Valley Drive, Sunderland – Closed due to wires across the roadway.
- Deep Landing Road & Carroll Road, Huntingtown – Closed due to wires down in the roadway.
- Dares Beach Road between Omni Way and Goldstein Road, Prince Frederick – Closed due to a fallen tree and downed power lines.
Authorities are warning drivers to use extreme caution in affected areas as SMECO, BGE, and State Highway crews work to restore power and clear the roadways.
