NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – A new stop sign has been installed at a critical intersection on Naval Air Station Patuxent River, prompting base officials to remind drivers to proceed with caution when merging onto Cedar Point Road from Millstone Road at Taxiway Alpha.

The stop sign, placed for southbound traffic on Millstone Road, aims to improve safety and prevent potential conflicts with aircraft taxiing across the roadway. Drivers must now come to a complete stop before entering the intersection.

After stopping, vehicles may proceed only when the signal flashes red. A solid red light indicates an active taxiway, and turns are strictly prohibited during this time due to the presence of aircraft.

Base officials urge all motorists to follow the updated traffic control measures and remain alert for signage and signal changes.
