PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Do you know someone whose business has made a positive impact in the community? The Calvert County Chamber of Commerce will host its Beacon of Light Luncheon, presented by Constellation, Cove Point LNG, and The BayNet, on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Heritage 485. The event is open to the public.
“Every business, no matter its size, is an igniter for positive change,” a Chamber representative wrote in a press release, and invited the public to submit their nominations to leah@calvertchamber.org by Nov. 21. Award categories are Legacy, Outstanding Business, and Outstanding Non-Profit.
This special event recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations who have made a remarkable impact on our community, who go above and beyond to make Calvert County shine.
The event will feature food like Maryland crab balls, bourbon-glazed salmon and more, and give attendees the opportunity to socialize with community leaders and fellow attendees. Participants will get the chance to be part of the recognition of others in their community, as the Chamber honors them for their dedication and service.
Anyone interested in attending can register online. Registration must be completed by 3 p.m. on Nov. 26. Space is limited, and event organizers recommend registering early to ensure your spot. The cost to attend is $65 for Chamber members and $75 for nonmembers. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
On the event website, the Chamber says, “Join us in celebrating the beacons of light who make a difference in our world. It’s an event of inspiration, connection and gratitude.”
