Northern Middle School closed for tomorrow

OWINGS, Md. – Message posted by Calvert County Public Schools, Sept. 6, 2018:  

There will be no school for students of Northern Middle School on Friday, September 7, 2018.

Due to the failure of existing cooling equipment, the maintenance department has arranged for a portable chiller unit to be attached to the existing cooling system. It will take about three days to connect and test.

We expect that the students will be able to return to school on Monday, September 10, to a more comfortable environment. A message will be sent to the community on Sunday to confirm the status of school on Monday.

Mr. Webster would like to thank the students, staff, and families of Northern Middle School for their efforts this week and, specifically, today. This morning, the Bobcat Nation pulled together to make the best of a difficult situation.
