On Jan. 3 at 1:36 a.m., officers responded to Pueblo Circle in Indian Head for the report of a man trying to break through the back door of a house.
When PFC J. Riffle arrived, he spoke with the homeowner who said the suspect fled. PFC Riffle noticed the suspect’s footprints in the snow and followed a track and soon after, he observed the suspect.
Officer Riffle ordered the suspect to stop but instead, the suspect fled. Officer Riffle was able to appended and arrest the suspect after a short pursuit.
The suspect indicated he had been smoking PCP and thought he was at his girlfriend’s house. The homeowner advised she did not know the suspect.
Dwayne Antonio Butler, 26, of Indian Head was charged with fourth –degree burglary and resisting arrest.
