At 4:15 p.m. Feb. 23, Corporal Edward Evans responded to the area of Morris Drive and Thomas Road in Lexington Park, for a report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival Cpl. Evans observed one of the parties involved in the altercation, Earl Linwood Kent, 39 of Lexington Park, Maryland, carrying a metal club, crossing a yard of a residence and approaching another subject.
Kent raised the metal club over his head in a threatening manner towards other subject. Cpl. Evans ordered Kent to drop the metal club and Kent complied.
Two other individuals in the yard observed Kent’s actions.
Earl Kent was arrested and charged with second degree assault and disorderly conduct.
