One Firefighter Injured, Family Displaced In Brandywine House Fire

BRANDYWINE, Md. — A house fire in the 5500 block of Accokeek Road left one firefighter injured and three residents displaced Tuesday evening, May 27, 2025.

Crews were dispatched around 6:16 p.m. and arrived to find a single-family home with fire showing. Firefighters quickly began suppression efforts, and the blaze was brought under control.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries during the response.

The Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management assisted one adult and two juveniles who were displaced by the fire. Fire investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause.
