
HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — A serious motor vehicle accident occurred yesterday evening at approximately 5:00 p.m., May 9, 2024, at the intersection of Plum Point Road and Stinnett Road.
Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found two vehicles in the roadway with one occupant trapped inside.
Firefighters extricated the trapped occupant, who was then immediately handed over to EMS for care. Due to the severity of the occupant’s injuries, EMS requested a medical evacuation.

The patient was subsequently airlifted to a nearby trauma center by the Maryland State Police, Trooper 2.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
