
CALIFORNIA, Md. — One person was taken to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries after a head-on collision at approximately 1:19 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at St. Andrews Church Road and Wildewood Parkway.
First responders arrived to find two SUVs in the roadway with heavy front-end damage and debris across the intersection. EMS evaluated multiple occupants on scene and transported one patient to the hospital, not believed to be life-threatening.
Drivers should expect delays in the area while crews clear the scene.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

need a light at Indian Bridge, just saying…
That’s not gonna help at all, if anything even more accidents will occur because people refuse to obey traffic control devices here
There sure are a lot of crashes on St. Andrews Church Road. It’s a cross connector for the two major arteries in St. Marys County (5 & 235). The road was never intended or designed for the amount of traffic that’s on it now. The problem will get a lot worse before it gets better.
Intersections are (apparently) hard…replace it with a roundabout and eliminate these head on collisions.
Need a light at Indian Bridge!
