A barn behind a residence in the 7000 block of Old Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach was burglarized sometime between July 25 at 9:45 p.m. and July 26 at 2:15 a.m.
The unknown suspect(s) stole a Marlin .22 magnum bolt rifle valued at $200 and a Mossberg 835 12 gauge shotgun with camouflage paint, worth $200.
While Dep. Seth Mitchell was investigating, a second victim, who lives on the same street, approached him and advised that unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into his home and vehicle, causing $225 in damage, but were unsuccessful.
