Patricia Ann Thomas, 88, of Hollywood, Maryland passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2025.
Born August 5, 1936, she was the loving daughter of the late Edward Thorpe and Grace Marguerite (nee: Burton) Thorpe.
She grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland and worked at the Hot Shoppes in Prince George’s Plaza most of her working years. She married Jerry Thomas and they loved and raised four children in Riverdale, Maryland. In 2005, they moved to St. Mary’s County, where they relaxed in retirement.
Anyone who knew Pat, Patsy, Mom, Grandma, Nanny, or Ma, loved and adored her. She was the sweetest person, but wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and any other child she came in contact. She was your biggest fan and supporter in whatever you did, be it sports, academics, or otherwise.
She loved going to Dorsey Speedway watching her husband race in the early years and then football, wrestling, baseball, soccer, t-ball, or anything else that was happening. She loved to watch her Washington Redskins and was an avid WWE Wrestling fan, specifically, Roman Reins. She loved country music and spending her days spoiling her best fur friend, Beau, a chihuahua she adopted from Well Pet Clinic in 2012. She loved blowing leaves from her yard full of trees on mostly a daily basis. She loved heights, speed and Harley Davidsons. She was so excited when she came upon any motorcycle on the roads. At a month shy of 87, she got to see WWE live and parasail high above Ocean City, her favorite place to lay in the sun from sun up to sun down. Locally, she loved to lay in the sun and float in Great Mills Pool, which she would do every day if she could.
Patricia is survived by her children Danny Mayo (Cathy), Donnie Mayo, Tracie Crowley (Paul), Jerry Thomas (Julie), nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ron Thorpe (Patti) and her dog Beau, her best friend, as well as nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and cousins, all of who will miss her dearly.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald/Jerry and brother Warren Thorpe (Jean).
