NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – Naval Air Station Patuxent River officially opened its new food pantry Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by base leadership, Chaplain Lt. Israel Alvarado, and Religious Program Specialist 2nd Class Oluwadamilola Adeyemi.

The Pax River Food Pantry is now available to anyone on base in need, operating on a referral basis. Eligible personnel can be referred through the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, the Chaplain’s Office, command ombudsmen, or their own chain of command.

The initiative aims to provide food support for military families and personnel stationed at NAS Patuxent River, addressing a growing need for base-level assistance programs.

Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted. Those interested in contributing can coordinate with the Religious Programs Office by calling (301) 342-3811.
