The project will mainly revolve around improvements to existing properties and the demolition of the vacant hotel. Two brand new businesses will also be added to the development, which will include ALDI and Starbucks. The Starbucks will reportedly be a military-themed location.

It was also stated that AMC Theatres did not renew their lease. A representative from AMC theatres reached out to The BayNet with the following statement.

“To clarify, the end of AMCโ€™s lease at this property is not imminent. AMC has no current plans to cease operations at this location, nor have we made any decisions about our future at the property.”

  1. Don’t tell me the economy is not great right now. PEOPLE CAN NOT STOP BUILDING DOWN HERE.

    1. This is fueled by government spending. This area is just like WashMet Area, immune to downside of bad government spending.

  2. Do you really want a Starbucks in an area heavily crime related ? Seems like a robbery waiting to happen.

  3. Because you can never have too many grossly overpriced burnt coffee stores in a 5 mile radius.
