UPDATE – 43-Year-Old Man Killed In St. Charles Parkway Hit-And-Run
WALDORF, Md. — Authorities in Charles County are investigating a fatal traffic incident Monday evening after a person was found unresponsive in a roadway in Waldorf.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26, 2026, to the area of St. Charles Parkway near Gallery Place following reports of a person struck by a vehicle. First responders arrived to find the individual with life-threatening injuries. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said debris was found in the roadway, suggesting a vehicle was involved. It was not immediately clear whether the driver remained at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
