Update from PG County Sheriff Department: “Chief Stawinski wishes to update the community with the latest information regarding Tuesdayโs threat at Crossland High School.ย
Detectives with the Prince Georgeโs County Police Homeland Security Division have identified and located the suspect who made the threat. He is a 14 year old male. His identity is being withheld because he is a juvenile. He has been charged with making a threat of mass violence. Our investigators further determined that he had no means to carry out the threat.
We take every threat of school violence seriously. We work aggressively to identify the responsible individuals and to hold them accountable under the law for their actions. We strongly urge parents to speak with their children about the serious consequences they will face for making a threat even if it is determined to be a prank.”
