LaPlata, MD – On July 13 at 10:30 a.m. honorable Judge West sentenced Bart Kurtrick Mullins of Greensboro, NC to 12 months in Charles County detention center.
Mullins was facing numerous charges, but through negotiations made on his behalf by his attorney, Monte Montgomery, the defendant received a shorter sentence.
Judge West and both attorneys agreed to charge Mullins with three of the possible eleven charges brought against him. The most serious charge being first-degree assault.
In addition to serving time, Mullins is also required to pay the sum of $1,933or face an additional 18 months of jail time.
Mullins was a fugitive running from multiple warrants in states such as Louisiana and North Carolina.
