WALDORF, Md., โ€“ A police officer and an adult male were transported to Charles Regional Medical Center following an incident involving injuries from a police K9 apprehension this morning, April 12, 2025.

First responders were dispatched at approximately 9:17 a.m. to the 6100 block of Sea Lion Place in Waldorf after receiving reports of an animal bite involving a K9 unit. Initial dispatch reports indicate that an adult male sustained injuries classified as “bravo level” from a K9 apprehension.

According to the dispatch, emergency medical crews requested a second ambulance shortly after arriving on scene to address injuries sustained by a responding police officer.

Both individuals involved were transported separately to Charles Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for evaluation and treatment. The current medical status of both the adult male and the officer is not yet available.

Authorities have not provided further details regarding the circumstances leading to the K9 deployment or the identities of the injured parties. Updates will follow as additional information is released.
