Lexington Park, MD – On Saturday morning, Sept. 6 at approximately 2 a.m., a call was placed to the emergency communications center for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle in the woods on its side up against the tree.
According to police, the vehicle was coming off Masson Eryie Road onto Poplar Ridge Road when the driver failed to stop and was traveling at a high rate of speed causing the driver to lose control and crash into the woods landing the vehicle in its side against a tree.
The make and model of the vehicle was not known at this time.
The driver was transported to Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital.
