PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Three Baltimore men were arrested after authorities say they worked together to steal groceries and other food items from a Prince Frederick store earlier this month.

According to court documents, deputies responded around 3:14 a.m. on March 11, 2026, to the Giant located at 655 N. Solomons Island Road for a reported theft in progress. Loss prevention employees told responding officers they had recognized several individuals who were inside the store attempting to steal merchandise and had previously been linked to a similar theft in July 2025 involving more than $9,000 in stolen items.

Investigators began reviewing surveillance footage from the store and observed three men concealing items throughout the business. The suspects were identified as Enrique Elia Bermudez-Ventura, 31, of Baltimore; Victor Ariel Bermudez-Ventura, 33, of Baltimore; and Yafred Santos-Jeronimo, 19, of Baltimore.

Authorities said the men were seen moving throughout the store placing merchandise into a large trash bag, a black backpack, and a shopping cart in an effort to hide the items before leaving without paying. Surveillance footage also showed one of the suspects acting as a lookout while the others gathered items from store shelves.

The items taken included a variety of groceries such as produce, packaged foods, beverages, and snacks including limes, avocados, cabbage, lettuce, watermelon, tomatoes, plantains, tortilla chips, Doritos, soda, and other food products. Investigators estimated the total value of the stolen merchandise at approximately $182.30.

According to the report, some of the food items were opened and consumed inside the store while others were concealed in bags and a shopping cart with the intent to leave without paying. Store employees later confirmed that certain items could not be returned due to being opened.

Authorities also reviewed surveillance footage from the previous day, March 10, which showed two of the suspects allegedly placing items into a large trash can in the store’s health and beauty aisle before leaving. Investigators said all three men were working together in a coordinated effort during the incidents.

All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.

Enrique Elia Bermudez-Ventura, 31, of Baltimore; Victor Ariel Bermudez-Ventura, 33, of Baltimore; and Yafred Santos-Jeronimo, 19, of Baltimore, were each charged with theft between $100 and $1,500.

Each suspect was later released on a $2,500 unsecured personal bond. A hearing for all three defendants is scheduled for April 10, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
