CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – The Town of Chesapeake Beach will publicly open proposals next week for the redesign of the Chesapeake Beach Water Park.
In a previous meeting, town council members discussed plans to close the water park and put an aquatic center in its place. In February, the town held a pre-bid meeting with 9 firms in attendance. Sealed design/build proposals are due to be delivered to Town Hall by March 15th at 9:00 am.
The proposals will be opened and each proposal’s lump sum bid will be announced publicly. The Town Council then expects to review proposals in the March 21st Town Council meeting at 7:00 pm.

Exactly
Funny – the original committee meetings to discuss the water park years back wanted an aquatic center but somehow, we were overruled. I still prefer an aquatic center, with a physical therapy pool.
Should stay open this summer, and work on it this coming fall/ winter. The kids here need this place.
