It seems that our lovely local radio station is at it again. Just when you get used to things Somar Communications is up to their old tricks. With no word or warning the morning crew that starts your day has been dismissed or left of their own free will. I would like to believe it to be the later part of that sentence.
When T-Bone and Heather announced their departure. The last we heard was โwe will still be here for another 2 weeks.โ Well that was complete BS because they were never back on the radio the next day. And you never heard from them again even though they still had 2 weeks left supposedly. Moondog came and went with the quickness.
And now we have yet another victim in the seat of Dawn and Boomer. Hold on to your hat there sweetie, your in for a ride. And just about the time you think your seat is warm, Somar will come and yank you out too. Donโt get to comfy in that building.
Frank Dawson seems to be the only one who has outlasted all the new comers. So Frank what is your secret? Would you kindly share with your new co-worker the secret to your success? So that we wont have to worry about this every few months or so.
I would like to know, how Somar runs radio stations from Florida?
Most people have their likes and dislikes about music but I have to say that all of the DC radio stations have got it together. They are prepared for emergencyโs, and informative.
St Marys, Calvert and St Charles need to get together on a plan to fix the local radio stations and their problems. One being the lack of communication during a natural disaster situation. I think between all 3 countyโs a plan can come together. Is that something that can be addressed to our local government? Or does anyone care?
Thanks,
Dawn Murphy
