Governor Hoganโs Proposed Legislation Targets Repeat Offenders Of Drunk Driving; Anybody Who Has Been Convicted Of Causing A Death Or Life Threatening Injury And Has A Subsequent Drunk Driving Offense Can Be Subjected To Face Up To 10 Years In Prison. โยง 21โ902 of this article (‘driving while impaired by drugs or drugs and alcohol’)… A person may not violate any provisions ofย ยง 21โ902 of this article if the person has previously been convicted of: Three or more violations of any provision of ยง 21โ902 of this article; or a violation of ยง 2โ209, ยง 2โ210, ยง 2โ503, ยง 2โ504, ยง 2โ505, ยง2โ506, or ยง 3โ211 of the Criminal Law Articleโฆ. A person who violates this section is guilty… and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 10 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.โ

In 2016, Governor Hogan Signed Noahโs Law, Legislation Requires Ignition Interlock Devices For Individuals Convicted Of Drunk Driving In Maryland. โAmong the bills signed today was SB 945, more commonly known as Noahโs Law, which will require ignition interlock devices for anyone convicted of drunk driving in the state of Maryland.
