WALDORF, Md. — A Riverdale woman faces multiple felony charges after allegedly orchestrating two separate hotel robberies by directing an accomplice to target women she had personal disputes with. Trinity Mineye Coleman-Lord, 21, of Riverdale, Md., was arrested following an investigation that police say connected her to robberies totaling over $2,400 in stolen property.
According to charging documents filed in Charles County District Court, the investigation began on Sept. 16, 2025, when Charles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Wingate by Wyndham at 2555 Business Park Court in Waldorf for a robbery report. A victim told officers that Coleman-Lord had called asking her to come to the lobby, but she refused and remained in her room to rest.
A short time later, two men allegedly forced their way into the victim’s hotel room demanding, “Where’s it at?” One suspect allegedly snatched the victim’s cell phone from her hand, hanging up her FaceTime call with her boyfriend. Charging documents state the men searched her room while the victim fled to the lobby and called police. The stolen items, according to court records, included multiple Apple devices, a Juicy Couture duffle bag, wallet, identification cards and bank cards totaling $1,423 in value.
The victim identified Coleman-Lord as being involved and expressed she “just wanted her stuff back.” Officer investigations cited in court filings revealed Coleman-Lord’s alleged connection to a nearly identical robbery that occurred on Aug. 18, 2025, at the Super 8 Hotel at 3550 Crain Highway in Waldorf involving the same suspect nicknamed “Black.”
In the August incident, charging documents state Coleman-Lord was staying in a hotel room with another woman when they had a falling out over the other woman allegedly talking to Coleman-Lord’s boyfriend. According to investigators, Coleman-Lord called “Black” to vent about the situation and told him to “come get this bitch.” Two suspects later allegedly returned to the hotel room and stole the other woman’s iPhone, bag containing two additional cellphones, identification documents and $380 in cash totaling $999 in stolen property.
Deputies located Coleman-Lord at the Quality Inn. During contact with Coleman-Lord, officers observed her cell phone receiving multiple calls from a contact named “Black,” which investigators say connected her to both robbery investigations. Coleman-Lord was transported to the District Three Station for questioning.
After being advised of her Miranda rights, charging documents state Coleman-Lord admitted to her role in both robberies. She allegedly told investigators she called “Black” to vent about personal disputes with both victims and told him to “come get this bitch” in each case. In the Sept. 16 incident, when “Black” asked if she wanted him to rob the victim, Coleman-Lord allegedly said she did not tell him no.
Charging documents also state that after the September robbery, “Black” called Coleman-Lord saying he was going to use the victim’s Cash App to send himself money using the stolen cell phone. During the August incident, Coleman-Lord allegedly acknowledged leaving the hotel with “Black” and other suspects along with the victim’s stolen property.
Detectives executed a search warrant for Coleman-Lord’s Quality Inn room on Sept. 16 around 8:20 p.m. Upon entry, investigators discovered the window screen was removed and the window was open. Below the window, detectives recovered an insurance card belonging to the Aug. 18 robbery victim, providing physical evidence that investigators say linked Coleman-Lord to both crimes.
Coleman-Lord faces six charges including home invasion, two counts of robbery, third-degree burglary and two counts of theft. Home invasion under Maryland Criminal Law Section 6-202 carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison. Each robbery charge under Section 3-402 carries up to 15 years’ imprisonment. Third-degree burglary carries up to 10 years, while each theft charge carries up to 18 months in jail and a $500 fine.
Court records show Coleman-Lord was released on her own recognizance following her initial appearance on Sept. 17. The Public Defender’s Office for Charles County entered its appearance representing Coleman-Lord in the proceedings. Defense counsel has filed motions for speedy trial and discovery while requesting a preliminary hearing.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 17, 2025, at 9 a.m. in Courtroom 1 of Charles County District Court. The State’s Attorney’s Office for Charles County is prosecuting the case.
The investigation remains active as authorities continue seeking the primary suspect known as “Black,” who allegedly carried out the physical robberies at Coleman-Lord’s direction.
