CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. – Emergency crews responded to Wicomico Motorsports Park on Saturday, March 1, 2025, after a 20-year-old rider suffered traumatic injuries in a motocross accident.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., first responders were dispatched to a well-known off-road racing facility in Charlotte Hall, a location on Kingston Place. According to dispatch, the rider was thrown off a dirt bike after going over a jump and suffered a dislocated elbow and multiple injuries to his back.
Emergency medical personnel, including rescue teams specializing in difficult terrain extractions, were called to assist. Given the severity of the injuries, medics opted to transport the victim to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
Wicomico Motorsports Park hosts a variety of off-road events and is a popular destination for motocross riders in Southern Maryland. It remains unclear if this accident occurred during a sanctioned event or individual practice.
