Robbie Boothe Band Reunites For A Rockin’ Tribute To First Responders In Leonardtown Square

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Leonardtown came alive on Saturday, June 7, 2025, as the community gathered downtown for the Second Annual Hometown Heroes Concert — an evening filled with gratitude, high-energy music, and hometown pride.

After a nearly three-year hiatus, local favorite Robbie Boothe Band reunited for a one-night-only performance to honor the region’s first responders. Hosted as part of First Responder First Friday and presented in partnership with the Leonardtown Business Association (LBA), St. Mary’s County Arts Council, Olde Towne Insurance, Quality Built Homes, and The County Times, the event transformed Leonardtown Square into a celebration of community spirit.

The evening began with a heartfelt tribute from Robbie Boothe, who delivered a stirring rendition of the National Anthem in honor of our country and hometown heroes. Following the anthem, The Deadrise energized the crowd with a vibrant opening set before Robbie and his full band took the stage to roaring applause.

Boothe and his band brought an electrifying mix of crowd favorites like “I Gotta Feeling” and “Tennessee Whiskey”, along with original songs that spanned pop, rock, and country. While many listened intently, some attendees couldn’t help but move to the music — swaying, singing along, and soaking in the energy of the long-awaited performance.

Scattered throughout the square were fire trucks, police cruisers, and rescue vehicles, giving children and families the chance to “Touch a Truck” and meet the real-life heroes who serve their communities. Representatives from local fire, rescue, and law enforcement departments were on hand to share information, sell raffle tickets, and raise funds for their stations.

“It meant so much to be able to play alongside some of my favorite people in the world, for this incredible community,” Boothe said. “The love and support that we have always received from the community has meant the world, and we loved getting to play this one-time show back in the Leonardtown Square.”

The Hometown Heroes Concert continues to grow, with this year’s turnout signaling strong support and appreciation for local first responders. As the sun set and the music soared, Leonardtown proved once again that small towns make big noise — especially when it comes to community and country.
