WALDORF, Md. — Salad House, a fast-casual, health-conscious franchise known for its fresh chopped salads, wraps, sandwiches and customizable menu, is expanding into Maryland with three locations planned for Brandywine, Waldorf and Annapolis.
The brand, originally founded in New Jersey, is continuing its East Coast expansion and entering Southern Maryland for the first time. Two locations will serve the Southern Maryland region, with target communities including Brandywine and Waldorf. A third location is confirmed for Annapolis, marking Salad House’s entry into Anne Arundel County.

The Brandywine and Waldorf stores will be locally owned and operated by Toshia and Marcus Ellis, founders of Another Surrender LLC. The Bowie State University alumni and longtime area residents bring backgrounds in technology, real estate and community development. The Annapolis unit will be managed by franchise partners Sunil and Parag Patel, bringing both tech industry experience and a passion for health-focused living.
Site selection is currently underway, and all three Maryland restaurants are expected to open by the end of 2025.
“With growing demand for healthy, made-to-order meals, we’re excited to bring our fan-favorite menu and welcoming environment to Maryland,” said Joey Cioffi, founder and CEO of Salad House. “These new locations are part of our continued growth strategy to partner with passionate franchisees and meet guests where they live, work and play.”
Salad House has earned recognition for its flavorful, chef-crafted offerings and was recently named one of Fast Casual’s 2025 Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
