Two local science teachers wowed their peers during the spring teacher’s conference in Boston.
Leigh Ann Anderson, a science teacher at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School in Waldorf and Marissa Cross, a science teacher at Dr. Thomas L. Higdon Elementary School in Newburg, presented at the National Science Teachers Association conference in March.
Their presentation, Elementary Science Teachers – Not a Luxury… A Necessity, focused on the importance of science teachers, hands-on lessons and the shaping of science skills in elementary students.
