Serious Rollover Crash In Ridge: Driver Ejected From Vehicle, Airlifted To Trauma Center

RIDGE, Md. – Emergency responders were dispatched late Thursday night to a serious motor vehicle accident on Point Lookout Road in Ridge.

The crash occurred around 10:41 p.m. on December 12, 2024, in the 13820 block of Point Lookout Road. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a single patient lying in a field near the scene of the crash. Preliminary reports indicated that the individual had been ejected from their vehicle.

EMS provided immediate care to the injured patient, whose condition necessitated a MEDEVAC for further treatment. Firefighters established a landing zone at St. Michael’s School, and Maryland State Police Aviation Trooper 7 airlifted the patient to a regional trauma center.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Crews cleared the scene and resumed service at approximately 11:14 p.m.
