CALIFORNIA, Md. – The US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington has issued a special weather statement warning of possible snow accumulation Friday night throughout the region.

The snow is expected to spread across the area from west to east starting Friday evening and continuing until Saturday morning. At present, forecasters anticipate snowfall amounts will generally be in the one to three-inch range. However, localized totals could reach upwards of four or five inches in areas where bands of snow set up.

Travelers are advised to plan for slippery road conditions. The hazardous weather could impact travel from Friday night into Saturday morning.
