white german shepherd named Blanca

CALIFORNIA, Md. — Meet this sweet beauty named Blanca! Blanca is an adult German shepherd mix who is approximately 1 year and 8 months old.

The shelter staff says Blanca is very nervous when first meeting new people but will quickly adjust given time. Blanca does not appear confident in herself just yet. She depends on her human for comfort and will need a family that will help her become more confident!

Due to an incident in her previous adoptive home, we would not recommend Blanca be adopted into a home with other dogs, cats or small animals. She is extremely timid, and young children may frighten her. This girl is looking for someone, preferably with GSD experience, who can build her confidence and provide her with a safe and patient home.

You can learn more about Blanca through her online profile. Adoption applications can be submitted in person at the St. Mary’s County Animal Adoption & Resource Center located at 22975 FDR Blvd., California, Md. 20619.
