LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Please join Sheriff Steve Hall and the men and women of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in congratulating the following personnel on their promotions:
Deputy Taylor-Lynn Kril was promoted to Deputy First Class
CO Emory Bowling was promoted to Correctional Officer First Class
CO Charles Hibbard IV was promoted to Correctional Officer First Class
Sheriff Steve Hall said when awarding the promotions, “DFC Kril can always be trusted to speak her mind, and that is something I respect a lot.”
The Sheriff told the newly promoted CFCs, “Each of you performs one of the most important jobs in our Office, that of being correctional officers.”

Deputy Sheriff starting salary: $65,582.40 + $15,000 sign-on bonus (paid in 3 installments)
Lateral bonus: $22,500 (paid in 3 installments)
Correctional Officer starting salary: $54,416.80 + $10,500 sign-on bonus (paid in 3 installments)
Lateral bonus: $18,000 (paid in 3 installments)
