A St. Maryโ€™s County man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday, Jan. 7 around 11:30 a.m. in Prince Frederick, police reported.

According to an accident report filed by Sgt. Vladimir Bortchevsky of the Calvert County Sheriffโ€™s Office, the motoristโ€”identified as Stanley Whitfield Parker, 67 of Lexington Parkโ€”was traveling in a 2001 Infiniti 130, headed north on Route 2/4.

The report stated the vehicle left the roadway and struck a northbound guardrail. The driver โ€œovercorrectedโ€ and the vehicle then โ€œentered the median, became airborne and rolled overโ€ the southbound lane of Route 2/4 and landed, roof first, on the grass shoulder.

Crews from the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department extricated the injured motorist from the wreckage. Parker was flown by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 to Prince Georgeโ€™s Shock Trauma.
