LEONARDTOWN, Md. — St. Mary’s Ryken High School announced on March 26 that it is excited to welcome a new group of international students this August for the upcoming school year.

Students from Brazil, Germany, Vietnam, Spain, Switzerland and China will be joining the St. Mary’s Ryken community, bringing global perspectives and a passion for learning.

The school is currently seeking warm, welcoming host families to support these students during their time at SMR. Host family stipends will cover the cost of hosting and all school-related expenses. The international students, who arrive with strong English skills, are eager to become active members of student life.

Interested families can contact Cheryl Shevchuk at cheryl.shevchuk@smrhs.org to learn more about becoming a host family.
