With football season quickly approaching, TheBaynet.com sports team took to the road and settled at St. Maryโs Ryken for their practice on the 18 of August.
The team is heavily senior dominated as they look to improve on their 7-2 record from last season. Part of that rejuvenation is the return of senior running back and defensive back Damien Jones(Pictured below).
Jones tore his ACL at a rivalโs camp before last season, and missed the entire season. His return to the backfield spearheads the triple headed monster that Ryken will have in their backfield with seniors Jones, Devin Montgomery, and Rashard Jones.

Coach Jerry Franks told TheBayNet that they will be looking at the schedule one game at a time, and do not want any of the players โlooking forward to any game besides the one thatโs this week.โ
Coach Franks also said of his team, โ It is a senior dominated team with 21 of them on the roster. This gives me a great sense of maturity and security on the football field, and that is an important aspect of the game. Knowing that your guys will go out and perform every down.โ
Rykenโs first home game of the season is under the lights at Archbishop Spalding on the 28 of August. Their first home game is on September 4 against Howard D Woodson High School.
