LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The St. Mary’s County Arts Council will host a superhero-themed community art show from April 4 through April 30, 2025.

The exhibit will debut during First Friday on April 4, with a special appearance by illustrator Michael Munshaw from 5-8 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Munshaw and receive a free print or trading card while supplies last.

Munshaw has contributed to several well-known franchises, including Visionary Comics’ “The Offspring” and IDW’s “Deadlands: Dead Man’s Hand.” His sketch card work includes collaborations with Upper Deck/Marvel, DC Bombshells, Rick and Morty, Archer, and Steven Universe, among others.

A portion of all sales from the show will support Foundations 4 Heroes, a nonprofit organization that provides gifts and encouragement to hospital patients of all ages. The group also supports veterans through fundraising for Wounded Warriors, volunteering with the USO, and assisting at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
