LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — On Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Saint James Church Road and Three Notch Road closed part of the highway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

The collision was reported around 4:55 p.m. when a silver sedan struck the side of a white minivan in a T-bone impact. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, with debris scattered across the roadway. Firefighters and EMS crews responded, surrounding the vehicles as they checked on the occupants.

Authorities said no injuries were reported. Those involved declined transport after being evaluated at the scene.

Traffic was shut down in both directions on Three Notch Road while fire and rescue units, along with deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, worked to secure the area and remove the vehicles.
