pedestrian accident

HOLLYWOOD, Md. – A 17-year-old pedestrian was injured after being struck by a motor vehicle on Vista Road near Whiskey Creek Road on June 18, 2024.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene at approximately 5:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the young man suffering from injuries, including a broken arm. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained on the scene.

EMS evaluated the patient on the scene and requested a MEDEVAC. The patient was transported by ambulance to the St. Mary’s Airport, where he was met by Maryland State Police, Trooper 7 at the hangar. From there, he was flown to an area trauma center for further treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The incident is currently under investigation by police.
